Guiding Hope Counseling Services

Alex Bardole, LICSW, LCSW, MHP
(he/they pronouns)

My name is Alex Bardole and through my private practice, Guiding Hope Counseling, I provide telehealth-based individual, family, and couples therapy for people experiencing ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, as well as other life stressors. I work with teenagers, adults, and young adults and specialize in working with LGBTQ+ people, Spanish speakers, and professionals experiencing burnout/work stress. I have experience working with a variety of clients from diverse social, socioeconomic, cultural, and developmental backgrounds and experiences.

This life we live is hard; pressures of society, work, family, and our own expectation for ourselves all affect the way that we think about ourselves and how we perceive how other people think about us. Sometimes these pressures manifest as overthinking, anxiety, depression, or other 'diagnosable conditions'. At other times we need a compassionate, empathetic, warm person to listen to and hear our struggles without judgement.

When I was creating my private practice, I chose the name Guiding Hope because I believe that the therapist should be just that, a guide helping a person find their own resources, strengths, and abilities, and helping, guiding, teaching  that person use those natural strengths to overcome the challenges of life, and to reconnect with or strengthen their connection with that which keeps them going, their hope.

Utilizing a variety of theories including Internal Family Systems (IFS), CBT, and client-focused therapy as well as other theories, I work with my clients to develop therapeutic and life goals, develop a collaborative plan to use one's own resources for change, and support my clients through the barriers to achieving these goals. Therapy is a team effort and I'm here to help you develop a good game plan.
